Glacier White Corian

Corian ® is manufactured by DuPont and is the original solid surface material. It has been a long favourite in kitchen design due to its fantastic design qualities. Corian solid surfaces can be joined seamlessly and thermoformed to create any shape you desire. Transparency and engraving can add a truly personal touch.

Created to last a lifetime, Corian is a solid surface with a unique composite of natural minerals and pure acrylic polymer which creates a stone-hard surface that can be shaped and fabricated to meet any design requirements.

Corian is also known for its exceptional hygienic properties. It is a solid, homogeneous and non-porous work surfaces and it is the material of choice for applications in healthcare, hospitality, schools, and of course, homes. It is easy to maintain and is very resistant to stains. Most stains are removable with ordinary household cleaners.

Corian glacier white worktops are shaped using specialist equipment and joined to give a seamless appearance, with inconspicuous joints

Heavily Veined / Particulated Colours
These colours are highly unlikely to have contineous flow of the pattern when 2 sheets or 2 pieces of the same sheet are seamed together. The change of pattern will show up on the seam area

Thermal Expansion
Due to thermal expansion corian glacier solid surfaces can expand up to 1mm per meter

Overhangs & Support
Any overhang extending more than 300mm should be supported and carcasses should be 600mm spacing

Scratches
Glacier white solid surface worktops are not scratch proof, the use of chopping boards is recommended. Dark, heavily pigmented colours will show scratches, wear and tear more easily. However these can be sanded out if required by ordering a remedial visit from worktops.net
